ArtSpan's SF Open Studios (SFOS) IS the oldest and largest open studios program in the country
Our an annual, month-long event showcases ~ hundreds of emerging and established San Francisco artists in their studios and features an extensive exhibition at the SOMArts Cultural Center providing an overview of local artists. This fall 2024 will mark the 50th anniversary of SF Open Studios, running for four weekends—from September 20 -October 13 —with a fresh neighborhood map and schedule. We invite you to explore and connect more deeply with our city and the amazing artists who keep it vibrant. From painting, photography, and printmaking to glass, metal sculpture, and more, artful discoveries are around every corner.
SFOS connects collectors and the art curious with artists for engaging dialogue and a glimpse into the life of the working artist. Our program helps artists build their mailing list, gain new admirers, and ultimately sustain a living making art.

THE SFOS GUIDE
The SF Open Studios Guide is your travel companion for each weekend of SF Open Studios. The glossy magazine includes artwork, studio addresses, and contact information for nearly 300 SF artists, PLUS a map of each weekend to help you plan your route.
The guide will be available to pick-up around San Francisco beginning in early-August. Please check back in August for a list of locations where you can grab an SFOS Guide.
