Sarah MH is a multidisciplinary artist and designer based in Oakland, California.
Sarah studied art and design at Carnegie Mellon University and has been based in the Bay Area for over 7 years.
Her work has been shown in juried group shows at Soft Times Gallery, Wave Collective, Two Cats Gallery and the Drawing Room. She has also participated in art and craft shows such as Headwest, SF Etsy Fair, Sunset Mercantile and Patchwork. She has also organized guerilla pop-up art shows and art making gatherings as Arts, Crafts and Friends.
Artist Statement
Sarah’s work is intuitive and experimental, heavily driven by material exploration while meditating on the relationship between the self and the world around.
Using the language of patterns, color and layering, she creates visually dynamic work. The use of textiles as collaged material is a mediation on the challenge of piecing together our own stories from the bits and pieces of our memories and experiences.
