Griselda Tijero
Hello, my name is Griselda Tijero. I am a Mexican American self-taught artist born and raised in
San Francisco, CA. From a young age, I immersed myself in the world of art, constantly seeking
inspiration and honing my skills. Growing up in San Francisco, I was fortunate to have the
support and guidance of the local Boys and Girls Clubs, where I spent countless hours exploring
various art forms and discovering my creative voice.
With a focus on acrylic painting, I strive to create visually captivating pieces that provoke
emotions and tell compelling stories from my unique perspective. The vibrant colors and bold
brushstrokes in my artwork reflect my cultural heritage and personal experiences, inviting
viewers to engage with the narratives I aim to convey.
My artistic journey has been enriched by a combination of self-taught determination and
practical experience. In addition to honing my skills through continuous practice, I also owned
an Art/Plant store in San Francisco. This venture allowed me to further refine my technical
abilities while expanding my knowledge of the local art scene and community. Through
interactions with customers and fellow artists, I gained valuable insights into the diverse
perspectives that shape the artistic landscape.
Furthermore, I have actively participated in several exhibitions and collaborative projects, where
my work has received recognition for its creativity, attention to detail, and ability to communicate
complex ideas. These experiences have not only enhanced my artistic skills but also nurtured
my ability to effectively engage with audiences and elicit meaningful responses through my
artwork.
I am constantly seeking new avenues to challenge myself creatively and contribute to the
broader art community. Whether it's experimenting with different painting techniques or
