The language of my work is exploring the figure (allegorical and symbolic) using conte crayon, charcoal, ink, graphite and pastel on stained paper. I love to improvise with gesture, value, and composition. I am also exploring using texture and incorporating smaller works into larger pieces.
With Covid, I have switched to PET portraits, small oil sketches of friends and family pets. I will display art at Open Studio, October 2022.
