Artist Statement
"One picture is a window, a series is a memory, a body of work is a thread of consciousness. This thread is held together by the tiny strings of interrupted stories...
Drawing is my dreams and subconscious projecting upwards, images that have more to say than our language can speak. When I draw I feel and think the world around me perfect, flawless.
Photography for me is a tool, I need it in my work as a commercial artist, in my drawing and painting, it provides me with raw visual material. Photography is my contemplation, my memory and teacher on very mundane things like the markings on the asphalt, the marble decorations of the Vatican, the anonymous movement of people in train stations.. and that way these subjects become very close to me, physically, as they appear on my screen in my own personal space..."
