SF Open Studios Guide

ArtSpan and Guide Designer, Jeremy Joven of Asterisk San Francisco Magazine, are thrilled to introduce a new Guide format this year. While the look and feel of the Guide will remain similar to Guides of previous years, the size will be slightly slimmer and more portable (see diagram below).

The SF Open Studios Guide is a full-color, glossy, perfect-bound, 172-paged, 6.25" wide X 10.875" tall magazine that includes studio listings, maps, and artwork images from over 550 Premier Artist Members participating in the SF Open Studios program. The Guide features articles authored by professionals in the field on topics ranging from art collecting to the history of art appreciation in San Francisco.

ArtSpan distributes 15,000 copies of the Guide to coffee shops, hotels, museums, bookstores, and many other retail and tourist spots throughout the Bay Area while the online Guide reaches thousands more throughout the USA. Last year, the Guide was distributed to over 500 locations in San Francisco alone. (E-mail info@artspan.org if you are interested in distributing Guides at your place of business.) SF Open Studios attendees visit the mapped artists’ locations and keep the Guide as a memento and a reference.
