I am an urban explorer, fascinated by the photographic possibilities of everyday life, drawn to the strange and quirky. I feel like I'm living in a film, framing shots as I move along, my painter’s eye visually reclaiming bits and pieces of the environment—the weirder, the better; moody, ironic, colorful, humorous, noir… I love it all! In addition to my photography practice, I also create visionary oil paintings and sculptural, reclaimed materials Artbots composed of circuit boards, keyboards, cell phone innards,, wooden foundry patterns, stroboscopic timing wheels and electronic detritus of all ilk. My works reside in numerous private and public collections, including: The Spertus Museum, Chicago; Sony Corporation, San Jose; Santa Clara Medical Center; First National Bank of Arizona, Phoenix; Tonellerie Taransaud, Bordeaux; Francois Freres, Burgundy; and Paramount Pictures, Los Angeles for "Star Trek: Voyager." Photography, Sculpture, Paintings, Drawings: Lizland, my Studio of Functional and Dysfunctional Art has it all. Visitors welcome by appointment Monday-Saturday. 415-519-4139 or [email protected].
