Artist Statement
I combine organic stones and gems to make beautiful jewelry that captures the amazing beauty of the earth's natural resources and is a pleasure to wear. The grouping for this Open Studio combines gem stones and ethnic beads for necklaces that can be worn alone or layered. I use African brass, copper, and glass, Afghanistan lapis, Tibetan inlaid turquoise, and Turkeman inlaid coral combined with citrine, rubies, carnelian, aquamarine, freshwater pearls, rutilated quartz, amethyst, and other stones. I love to wear my designs and hope that you will find my pieces are contemporary, lovely, and versatile.
