‘Life primarily revolves around numbers, patterns, and textures.’

As an abstract artist, mother, and art teacher residing in the vibrant city of San Francisco, I find joy in expressing the beauty and energy of daily life through my paintings. Through my art, I aim to capture the essence of our individual paths and the spaces we occupy as human beings, using bold colors, lines, and numbers to create dynamic compositions that inspire and uplift.

When I begin working on a new piece, I simplify the process by using beautiful references of landscapes, cityscapes, or inspiration from my memories. I absolutely love to paint with vivid colors as, to me, they represent the unique individuality and diverse paths of our lifestyles. When I incorporate both straight and curved lines into my artwork, it symbolizes the different directions our lives can take. And I enjoy adding numbers, which express, quantify, count, measure, and track the passage of time and our experiences. Numbers represent a universal language, encompassing many different meanings, which I find fascinating.

I paint my artwork on canvases and wooden panels, primarily using oil paint. I use various tools such as a palette knife, catalyst, and paint rollers to create different textures. Sometimes, I also mix in acrylic paint when I need a section to dry quickly to layer oil paint on top. It's always exciting when unexpected textures emerge as a result of my experimentation with different tools and techniques.

Through my work, I hope to inspire others to see the world in a different way and appreciate the beauty and diversity that surrounds us.
